May Bird Review
May was an action-packed month for birds at Nosterfield NR - featuring highlights such as Temminck’s Stint & Black-winged Stilts!

April Bird Review
Some great birds dropped in at Nosterfield in April, including Bewick’s Swan, Iceland Gull, Little Gull, Spotted Redshank, Common Scoter, Black Redstart and a brief visit from a Green-winged Teal!

March Bird and Natural History Review
March brought the first of our longer distance summer migrants with sightings of Sand Martin, Swallow, Little Ringed Plover, Wheatear and Osprey. Later in the month a phenomenal 199 whooper swans were seen in one day in the recording area.

February Bird and Natural History Review
A relatively quiet month but there were still a few nice highlights, including Whimbrel, Lesser Black-backed Gull and a performing Stoat. Wader and wildfowl counts relative to last year’s totals were high.
