The second of two Nature Conservation Taster Days for young people held by the Lower Ure Conservation Trust at Nosterfield Nature Reserve.
During this session we will be cutting willow along the lake shore to improve the grassland, increasing the area for wildflowers and providing food and habitat for pollinators. The cuttings will eventually be made use of as bindings for hedge-laying on other parts of the reserve.
You’ll get to work with hand tools, learn about wildlife & grassland ecology AND have fun!
